Dr. Bassam Ibrahim – Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Syria
Graduated from MISI named after Valerian V. Kuibyshev (now – MGSU) in 1991, Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences.
Having graduated, Dr. Bassam Ibrahim held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Vice-President for Administrative and Student Affairs. In 2017 - 2018, he served as the President of Al-Baath University. In November 2018 Dr. Bassam Ibrahim was appointed Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Syrian Arab Republic.
